Glen Loma Ranch Announces Project Landscape Architect GILROY, Calif. – After an exhaustive review of candidates, Glen Loma Ranch has chosen NUVIS Landscape Architecture and Planning to design the Glen Loma Ranch community's first park, as well as project features such as entry walls and landscaping. NUVIS' experience includes the Eagle Ridge community, also in Gilroy, and Newport Beach's award-winning Balboa Village. "We are very pleased with our partnership with NUVIS. They will be a key player in the establishment of our community 'landscape vocabulary,' which will direct the look and feel of the entire environment," said Tim Filice, Glen Loma Group partner. "This is key to maintaining the special feel of Glen Loma Ranch. NUVIS represents the best in the industry – they are a perfect match for our project." One of NUVIS' tasks will be to design the first of two parks that Glen Loma Ranch will build and dedicate to the City of Gilroy. NUVIS will hold a meeting to allow members of the community to give input on the park's design. It's another way that Glen Loma Ranch continues to show its commitment to the community. Glen Loma Ranch has already demonstrated this commitment by locating the park close to existing homes, at the request of those neighbors, as well as timing the construction of the first park to coincide with the completion of the adjacent neighborhood, a precedent for projects of this type. "NUVIS is delighted to have been selected as the landscape architect for the exciting Glen Loma residential community project. We have enjoyed previously working with Tim Filice and RJA on other projects. That same energy, momentum and synergy continues as we face the challenges of evolving the vision of the community into reality," said Leslee Temple, vice president and chief financial officer for NUVIS. "Articulating the community's image continues to 'stretch the envelope' and progress the wider city's look of the future. It is a pleasure to team with a developer who has such a strong ideal for the importance of landscape architecture in creating a sense of place for future residents." NUVIS will also take on the work of designing trails both within Glen Loma Ranch and along Santa Teresa Blvd. Glen Loma Ranch will put temporary trails in place during construction of the neighborhoods.
